These are the terms for using Moralia. By opening and playing the game, you agree to them. They're written in plain language on purpose.
Each day, Moralia tells you one true story from history that ends at a real moral fork, asks you to choose one of two paths, and then shows you what actually happened, how your choice compares to a matched historical figure, and how it compares to other players.
You can play Moralia fully, forever, without ever creating an account. Signing in is only there if you want your history backed up on a new device. There is no password anywhere in this product.
You're responsible for keeping access to whichever sign-in method you use secure — we can't recover your history if you lose access to all of them.
Don't try to break, scrape, or abuse the game or its backend — including submitting large volumes of fake votes or choices by script rather than by playing. Don't use the game to harass, impersonate, or misrepresent yourself to anyone.
The stories are drawn from real history, or clearly marked as legend when a figure has no reliable historical record — see each dilemma's own "what really happened" for the specifics we chose to include.
The stories, choices, illustrations, and everything else you see in Moralia belong to us, or are drawn from public-domain historical material. Your own answers belong to you — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what we do and don't do with them.
Moralia is available worldwide and stores some information about you (see the Privacy Policy). You must be at least 16 years old to use it. We don't currently verify age at sign-in — this is a condition of using the app, not a technical restriction.
Moralia is provided as-is. We can't promise it's error-free, uninterrupted, or available every single day without fail. To the extent the law allows it, we're not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including a lost streak or lost local history.
